The holidays are one of my favorite times of the year. For me, Christmas means Christmas parties. And Christmas parties are always a great time, with great food and great friends. So, how do you decorate your home to match all of that holiday cheer?
I’m joined by one of my friends today to give you three holiday decorating tips. Terri Langdon from Preferred Staging is here to help me out.
How do you decorate your home to match all of that holiday cheer?
- Pick a theme. Use this theme to match your presents and cards so that you can wrap all of your gifts together in a cohesive, attractive way. You can even use presents as decorations. You could pile them up on a table, cascading down the stairs, in front of the fireplace, or, of course, under the tree.
- Don’t try to create a new look for your home. Work with the finishes and colors already within your home. That way your holiday decor looks very integrated and elegant.
- Add new throw pillows to your furniture. This tip works for the holidays as well as the rest of the year. Throw pillows on couches and chairs are a great way to add pops of color to your home.
