When you are about to undertake what is probably the biggest financial transaction in your life, it helps to have an expert on your side who doesn’t just see it as business as usual. The Redux Group’s Teddy Rueckert recently helped a client who was in a difficult position. Gordon was low on money, and facing foreclosure on his home. With Teddy’s help, Gordon was able to fend off multiple foreclosures, ultimately earning enough money in the sale to help launch him into the next phase of his life.

In a letter, Gordon thanks Teddy – not only for getting him out of a jam, but also doing it with an openness and honesty that he respected. “I’m glad you were there for me, you were put in my life at the right time, Gordon says. “You took the first step, you made that first cold call, and you put all the wheels in motion for me. I put a lot of trust in your every word. I seldom relinquish control, but I needed somebody else to steer for once. You are not the typical ‘salesperson.’ You are very good at what you do and that has everything to do with the integrity, compassion, and confidence you bring to the table.”

Gordon recounts a story from an early job, and a boss who showed confidence and trust in him, and was willing to work alongside his less-experienced colleague to get the job done. He tells Teddy that he sees those same qualities in him.

“… Thank you for bringing this to a fruitful closing,” Gordon concludes the letter, “and most of all thank you for being the man that you are.”
