Burke Real Estate

Burke, Virginia is named after the local 19thCentury politician Silas Burke. The house he built in 1824 overlooking the Pohick River and the Burke Station railroad stop of the Orange and Alexandria railroad (now part of the VRE system) still stand today. Set around picturesque Burke Lake Park, this community has a character all its own and was noted by CNN Money as one of America’s best small cities in 2008. Only 20 miles from Washington, D.C., Burke is an affordable option for commuters, and features numerous wooded lots, attractive homes and close proximity to schools, shopping and parks.
